My paintings depict real or imagined objects one might find in nature. There are vibrations that I experience from the natural world around us, which includes the subterranean world below us and the sky above and beyond us. The creation of paintings is a contemplative process that brings me closer to the mystery of our existence and the fleeting nature of our time here on Earth.

Sensing the life force that flows even in rocks or throughout the dried stumps of trees, I feel the hand of a Source beyond my comprehension directing the play. There is wonder at the eternal transfer of matter to energy. Great beauty is found in perceived details, for even the dirt at our feet is teaming with life, always regenerating, and an entire universe exists in a patch of moss. I am not just an observer, I am part of this place.
